The American Academy of Dramatic Arts 2005-Present
Costume Director:
Department Head responsible for all aspects of the Costume Shop for a 3-year acting conservatory.
Purchase supplies, maintain repairs and condition of stock pieces both new and vintage, and
purchase new pieces as necessary while staying within a very tight budget. Research, design,
construct, alter, rent maintain costumes for 3rd-year Company (25-30 actors) - 14-16 full
productions per year. Distribute and alter costume pieces for use in classroom work and exam play
performances for approximately 250 1st and 2nd year students. Design, build, pull, rent costumes
for 9-12 Grad Play Festival shows which are performed in a 17-day period. Collaborate with directors,
production staff including lighting and set designers to ensure the best possible production value.
Attend dress rehearsals and complete notes before openings. Supervise staff of four, teaching new
skills as needed. A list of plays, approximately 440, is available on request.

Corset Designer/Maker:
Self-owned business designing and building custom-made corsets of all types for theatrical productions and
personal use. Present (teach) a two-day corset-making workshop available for a reasonable fee.
Stiletto Entertainment 2002 – 2008
Costume Supervisor:
Holland America Cruise Line – Traveled to international sailing ports as supervisor for on-board fittings,
alterations, repairs, and maintenance of performer costume areas. Responsible for managing wardrobe
crew of 2-3 to complete alterations on time, attended midnight dress rehearsals and completed costume
notes by performer call time, attended all shows as representative of production team and completed
any necessary repairs between performances. One to three weeks at sea completing alterations and repairs
for three to four shows for casts of 10 performers.
Anita Brock Originals 2003 – 2004
Designer:
Designed and produced leather riding garments
for horse show competition wear. Intricate appliqués stitched to fitted leather
vests, trousers and blouses. Garments were then enhanced with stones.
Freelance Costume Designer 1998 – Present
Costume Designer for community theatres, 99-seat houses, feature and short films. Resident Designer for
Santa Paula Theatre Center and Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Center Theatre Group Costume Shop Assistant
to the Shop Manager: Managed rental department, worked with shoppers locating supplies for miscellaneous
productions and the shop, attended dress rehearsals and offered an additional hand as a stitcher and
craftsperson as needed for the largest theatre organization in the greater Los Angeles area.
